Lower Hutt residents Trevor and Cherry Harris have been named as the lucky recipients of a three thousand dollar travel package. The couple entered the winter competition at the Rockgas store on Bouverie Street in Petone, and evidently picked a winner. The national competition ran over the June/July/August period this year. Mrs Harris says the prize came as a complete surprise and was the first such travel prize she has won. ?At the moment we don?t have any places in mind. I would like to go back to the Philippines but it won?t cover it. ?I haven?t been to the south Island before, that could be nice,? says Mrs Harris. The couple both work at the Hutt Hospital and their two girls attend are currently attending college. Mrs Harris says her husband likes refilling at the Petone store because the gas is ?better and cheaper?. The competition was open to all Rockgas customers who completed a loyalty card with 8 stamps from the same participating outlets. Over 1,200 people entered the competition nationwide, which means the odds of Trevor and Cherry picking a winner were pretty slim.
