Foreshore gets cameo in primetime tele-movie
By Tim O?Connell

The ever present fear of The Big One is about to hit New Zealand this week...at least on our TV screens ? with a special walk-on role for Petone. The tele-movie Aftershock offers a dramatic look at the possible effects of an 8.2 scale earthquake and subsequent tsunami on the capital. Among the many locations used in the production was the Petone foreshore, which was the setting for the arrival of the tsunami on the Hutt motorway. Three two thousand litre tanks of water were used to simulate the devastation, being experienced here by actors Michael Trigg and Simon Ferry and an unnamed dog. The 90 minute special airs October 8 on TV3 at 8.30pm.
